In a contested race at the Senate District 14 BPOU Convention, Jerry Relph wins the Republican endorsement on the first ballot for the Senate District 14 Senate seat representing St Cloud, Waite Park, St Augusta together with Minden and Haven Townships.
Jerry had the opportunity to speak to the Delegates to the Benton County BPOU concerning some of the issues that will be priorities in his campaign including concerns over transportation and education that have been raised by constituents he has spoken with over the past months.

Jerry attended one of a series of listening sessions held by District 742 administrators to seek information from concerned citizens regarding the School Referendum held last fall. Items discussed included questions regarding the referendum voting process and the presentation of the information on the proposed new construction of or remodeling of Tech High School.
Jerry joined a group of area Veterans organizations visiting patients at the St. Cloud Veterans Hospital. As part of the visit, the participants distributed Valentine’s greetings made by area school children to the patients.
Items of discussion included the status of carbon dioxide emissions in Minnesota, the impact of the EPA regulations under the Clean Power Plan, and the eventual shut down of Sherco 1 & 2 and the status of coal fired plants in Minnesota.
